It's where Twin Peaks meets South Park - at the Beach. It's where unemployed actors mingle with B-Movie producers, Ex-Porn Stars and retarded ghosts. It's just NOT the OC. The story of "The Jungle" is told through the eyes of two east coast film school grads (Nick and Spencer) that move into an apartment in a small Southern California beach community called "TheJungle". In the first webisode, Nick and Spencer meet their surreal neighbors and find out that there's a treasure buried somewhere within the community. Aahhh yes, almost forgot about the retarded ghosts who interrupt most of the phone service in TheJungle. The Hotline to Hollywood has cracks. Actors never get their “call backs”. (“You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.” Hotel California The Eagles.) The plan calls for production of 12 digital webisodes to complete 2 full hours of screen time. Since we are shooting this with Sony HiDef cameras, the material will be suitable for both Internet digital streaming and broadcast television. The edited short clips will also interface with G4 cell phone technology. Sponsored by 10-year web veterans McCartney.com and iFanz, The Jungle constitutes a new approach to launching filmic content on the Internet. The goal is to create a website www.thejungle.tv where B-roll clips and ambience movies will be shown that will draw Internet viewership. In turn, there will be an iFanzpowered B.I. data collection form for visitors to sign up for the newsletter, sweepstakes, walk-on part opportunities and visits to the set. By creating an intelligent, educated audience that are already familiar with the cast of characters, we are able to offer our demographically screened viewers and advertising sponsors alike, an interactive experience. Each character will have their own “homepage” at thejungle.tv, and consequently, sponsors will be able to showcase their character adopted products on 4 platforms, the web site, newsletter / community communications, G4 cell phones and television. Welcome To The Jungle! www.thejungle.tv |
